Today, after I got some stuff in Sainsbury's Victoria Street I walked
down Wilcox Place past the Sheffield stands and noticed a rather new
looking bike in a state of dismantlement. It seemed to be missing
quite a few parts most noticable amongst the absentees were the forks.
The bars were just lying on the ground beside the frame. Both wheels
were missing but there was a note from the plod asking the owner to
get in touch.
I wouldn't mind betting the forks were sus jobs. Given that all you
need is an allen key or two to undo a modern headset I wonder how many
others have been purloined by our light fingered friends.
