Just got back from the Lake George NY area and while at the hotel I tried the complimentary fitness center. I did a 3x20 L4 riding on a Nautilus NB3000 the watts calibration was a little off but consistent enough so I could make adjustments according to heart rate on the last two intervals. The resistance is called "self generating electromagnetic" it wasn't irritating like the magnetic resistance on my old Proform 55 at home which makes 3x20 L4s impossible on it. I know the NB3000 was a comfortable pedal stroke but I'm not sure how road like it is. Are there any objective studies that compare magnetic, self generating electromagnetic, friction, eddy current electronic brake, wind, fluid and any other resistance type that might be out there.
