Black bike photographed in a kitchen with a black floor at twilight on
a grey day does not make for the clearest / brightest of pictures.
However, that's the best available, because I spent most of the
daylight hours chasing a small cagoule-clad dot round the parks and
down the paths of the town. In the pouring rain.

Compared to her previous bike, this is a joy, a wonder, a marvel. I
will now officially join the ranks of those that sing Isla's praises.
What's more, daughter (who has previously expressed the opinion that
all bikes must be pink and be equipped with a dolly / teddy seat on
the back) thinks this is much smarter and much better.

The big slab of white messed up the exposure, but crank up the gamma and
the contrast and the pictures are fine.

It's good to see a bike that's designed to fit kids and work properly,
rather than just chucked together from whatever bits happen to be lying
around the factory stores. Is there a coaster brake on tha back?

Just you wait until you see her on the BMX track like my granddaughter
before she discovered boys.
She was the 4th generation to have a BCF or NCU racing license!!!!!!!

Yes, there is. Daughter has got the hang of not being able to wind
the pedals backwards when getting on, but is not using the brake much
yet. However, her previous bike only had a single (front) brake, so
it's not immediately apparent to her that she has need of more than
one brake. (Also, the one v-brake with very short reach lever on this
bike is more effective in the wet than the floppy cheese caliper she
had before was in the dry).

Today she did a bit over six miles, and wants to go further tomorrow!
