What spd's

Hi I am new to mounytian bike ride rideing and needed some
recomandatios for some SPD's Thanks Andrew

Do you actually mean SPDs, like, the Shimano brand
stuff, or do you mean you need advice on which brand of
clipless to buy?

You've given us absolutely no information, so it's a bit
unreasonable to expect us to be able to help you. Have you
used clipless pedals before on other bikes? What's the
terrain like? Does it get muddy a lot where you ride? Do you
have any knee problems, and if so, which?

The most cost effective SPD pedals are the M520. Unless you
ride a lot in thick, deep mud, They work great and are
inexpensive, relatively speaking. $39 through Jenson USA

Ah, but he has. He lives in France and is getting out of
road biking because he can no longer stand to be in the
same sport as Lance. He has a doctoral in statistics and
his friends call him Dr. X, because it sounds cool. He
listens to a little rap, but his wife doesn't know. He
broke his right pinky four years ago in a freak accident in
an omlette contest.

Given that, I think he should go with Egg Beaters.

I'm a UK Peak District rider and recommend egg beaters over
SPD type pedals. Shed mud better, had spd's before. SPD's
get ****ted up where I ride........very muddy, gritty,
****ty..you name it. And this is in the summer!

I only rarely see any mud where I ride. Something about
being in a desert climate. Even if it does rain, the air is
so dry that the moisture gets sucked up almost instantly.
We've had some mud recently, but that's because of an
extremely unusual several weeks of rain. I wouldn't expect
to see weather like this again for a few decades. It's all
over now, though, and we're back to dust and rocks as usual.
