by a way oversprung bike! I hit my favire local trail with DH's, stunts and ladders etc.. I am so sore. Today I left the Bullit at home and took out my 5" trail bike. I set that up before I really understood spring rates and oil levels. Well the Drop off II forks had too much oil and kept washing out on the trail, the rear Vanilla had a 600# spring! At the time I set it up I was doing alot of Urban drops and jumps witht he bike. It sprints like crazy because it is so still and it will take 5' to 6' drops to flat before bottoming. I just put the 500# spring back in the Vanilla and took 20mm of oil out of each fork leg. Feels real good now. Now I understand why even though the Bullit is so much heavier it is so much easier to ride for me, even uphill. Well I will take my 5" trail bike out on the trail again and see but I can already tell it is setup better now after hitting some urban tonight. Thanks to Mike Dart, Carla, Slacker and everyone who has helped me here! |

Dude, you're sore... the Romic on my DH rig blew up on me forcing me ride 1/2 day without any compression dampening. My thighs are frig'n killing me. Just makes me respect those hard tail riders even more. > Today I left the Bullit at home and took out my 5" trail > bike. I think if I weighed 280 pounds it would have been perfect. |
