...and since I was unemployed for half the year they were a tidy sum. The only thing holding me back from buying a new bike this weekend is concern with my job stability. I may at the very least build up a nice singlespeed, or may still follow through on my main plan of building up a 5-6" travel full boinger. Short top tubes make those undesirable for the big boys, even on the largest size available. Jon and I talked about them yesterday and though the spec and frame seem to be a great deal, they are just too damn small, even for him. Damn eurotrashers, not thinking about real sized people. JD |

I like short top tubes, makes for short wheelbases, which makes for fun on the tight, twisty singletrack. Since I'll probably never be that great of a technical rider short top tubes work for me.
