http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3617017126 I made a bid on this (after all I allready payed for it - see my post from the 2nd of July) so I was able to get the account info from eBay and it turns out to be an uknowing US guys which has just had his name and contact details abused. When I made the bid there was allready a other bidder which had made a proxy bid so I was outbid (I of course mailed the guy about the whole situation) and not before long I was contacted by another ebay user claiming to have noticed I was outbid and offered me to buy a bike directly from him! I played along with this person, and our communication followed pretty much along the same lines as my original communication with the guy that scamed me. He mailed me three pictues of a black Enduro and a description which I'm pretty sure he found somewhere due to his own engligsh being pretty awfull (worse than mine). If anyone want to see the pictures let me know - I would like to know where he snatched them. The name he uses is: Billi Jovani 233 A Heathway Dagenham zip RM9 5AN so be warned! Kind regards Bruno PS. I also posted this info in the old thread in order to most people being warned about the scam! Description (let me know if you recognize this): --------------------- The 2002 Enduro have a 'monocoque' frame. Instead of a top tube, seat tube and seat pillar, this year sees Specialized following Marin by forming most of the frame out of two sheets of aluminium and welding them together. A traditional downtube remains however with the one remaining set of bottle bosses down near the bottom bracket - useless for a water bottle and not exactly the best place for water bottle based lights either. The rear end gets beefed up and the pivots are all cartridge bearings as the Enduro has always had but now with aluminium seals to keep the most of the muck out. Despite the beefy looking frame, Specialized claim a frame weight of 5.1 lbsOn On the suspension front, Specialized have a bit of a coup. The Enduro range used to have a clever square widget in the linkage which changed the travel from 3.8" to 4.7" depending on the way it was inserted. It also changed the head angle from a 70.5 degree XC bike to a slack 69 degree freeride/DH angle. For 2002, that's gone. Instead Specialized have a new forged linkage which has to be removed entirely and flipped for the angle change but the big news is the travel adjust. Specialized have have a 2 year exclusive licence on the new Fox "ITch" shocks. These allow you to change the travel from 4" to 5.2" simply by twiddling the wingnut on the side of the shock. This is available on all of the Enduros with the Expert getting on the fly compression lockout too. The linkage changes also mean the bottom bracket height is now either 12.5" or 13". Specialized have given the Enduro's a bewildering selection of forks throughout the range with forks from Marzocchi on the lower end bikes through Manitou Blacks on the Expert to Psylos on the Pro model which we hear won't be made available in the UK. A pity really. The component choices are great with all the bikes getting Shimano's new improved Deore disk brakes and LX.XT/XTR mixes. The cranks although looking the same as the old Sugino made StrongarmII's with their bendy chainrings are now made by Truvativ with Shimano compatible splines rather than ISIS. Specialized huge 27" wide low-rise handlebars remain too although now in a fetching gold colour. Specialized have dropped the E-type front mechs of the previous Enduros and the bikes come with hydraulic pipe fittings that adapt to any size pipe used from skinny Magura pipes to big fat Hope ones. Unlike the rest of the Specialized range which suffer from semi-knob 'Rockster' tyres which are surely a bad choice for a UK bike, the Enduros get Specialized's new Enduro specific 2.2" wide tyres which are also exceptionally tall and look very tasty. |

Hi, I have just been contacted by Billi Jovani to buy an LCD TV. Can I help you in getting your money back from this guy? His actual address is only about 5 miles from where I live and if you have reported him to the police already then maybe I could contact them and... who knows if they will actually do something. Basically I think you have just saved me a bit of money by posting this on the net and if I can get you yours back or the fool arrested then let me know. contact me on doublebubble@btinternet.com and I will call you back if necesary. Thanks. Russell. Quote:
