Default Bike storage options for a 1 bedroom apt.

The other day I was a Performance and saw this rack
http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...265&Store=Bike on sale. It looked
pretty good.

I thought since I only have two bikes and a Park stand, I could use the upper shelve for one of my
bikes. Then, I could use the lower rack for holding tires and place my Park in front of it, which
would hold my 2nd bike.

Anyone using one of these or any other suggestions? Is it sturdy enough with just using the
upper rack?

Queen, but I have two rules.

1. I sleep alone with one exception, a fury little pussy. That's a Siamese cat you pervs.

2.No metal anywhere near my genitals while I'm sleeping.

If you find out, let me know. I'm considering buying (or making...) one of those for my appartment
next year. 3BR, but 3 guys living there, and I'd rather not keep it out in the shared space just in
case there's a spontaneous party or beirut tournament there (after november 29th of next year...
when I'm 21. Of course.)

I built a similar thing out of PVC pipe. <$10. Put a threaded fitting on the bottom or top, and it
will wedge in between the ceiling and follor. Tires live behind it next to the wall.

A bike on the upper rack only is fine.

I've two of these myself

http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...128&Store=Bike

Traded a used XT chainring and new XT rear mech for a slightly used one.

The one you've chosen looks good because it also has adjustable bike holders which would work with
weird frame types. Mine will hold an M1 but can be a little shaky with that much weight on it. There
is a provision for screwing it to the ceiling but that may not be a good option for apartment
dwellers. (Though I've used white toothpaste to fill holes with good results. ;^) )

I just bought this for my apartment:

My apartment is an efficiency all the way, actually one continuous room, and it fits neatly up
against the wall.

Make your own, unless you are inept.

<snip> Am I missing something or does leaning bike one against wall and leaning bike two against
bike one seem a cost effective solution? I can't honestly see that there is a big difference in
footprint or ease of use.

That one might be a floor space issue. What ever happened to just putting a hook in the ceiling?
