The other day I was a Performance and saw this rack http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...265&Store=Bike on sale. It looked pretty good. I thought since I only have two bikes and a Park stand, I could use the upper shelve for one of my bikes. Then, I could use the lower rack for holding tires and place my Park in front of it, which would hold my 2nd bike. Anyone using one of these or any other suggestions? Is it sturdy enough with just using the upper rack? -- Slacker |

I'm considering buying (or making...) one of those for my appartment next year. 3BR, but 3 guys living there, and I'd rather not keep it out in the shared space just in case there's a spontaneous party or beirut tournament there (after november 29th of next year... when I'm 21. Of course.) Jon Bond |

Tires live behind it next to the wall. A bike on the upper rack only is fine. Pete |

The one you've chosen looks good because it also has adjustable bike holders which would work with weird frame types. Mine will hold an M1 but can be a little shaky with that much weight on it. There is a provision for screwing it to the ceiling but that may not be a good option for apartment dwellers. (Though I've used white toothpaste to fill holes with good results. ;^) ) Mike |
