This past weekend I got a chance to ride Thomas Mountain Road (fireroad) and the Ramona trail located near Idyllwild and Herkey Creek here in SoCal. Thomas Mountain offered a good climb with stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains and the Ramona trail was a blast, keeping in you on your toes as the trail changed substanually over its length. Buff singletrack, rocky switchbacks, loose corners, woods, roots, meadows, and a touch of snow, we were treated to a wide selection trail goodness during the 6.2 mile descent. See the full review at http://www.mountainbikebill.com/ThomasMtnRamona.htm You can check out the video of the Ramona Trail at http://www.mountainbikebill.com/videos/Ramona- Web.mpg File size is 29MB Bill Porter www.mountainbikebill.com |

Ah Yes. I see now... "offered a good climb". Good thing that there was the 'downhill' to make up for it then! ;-) -- Westie (Replace 'invalid' with 'yahoo' when replying.) |
