Hi, Need help finding a treadmill to buy. Anyone know of a
good sight listing ratings and prices. Dont' think I want to
spend a $1000, more or less. Want something reliable,
comfortable, and not too fancy, just to be able to run well
when the weather turns foul. Thanks. Vern.

In all seriousness, you're not going to find anything even
remotely well-made for money like that. Maybe a cheap Wal-
Mart special. I would spend that money on a membership at a
gym. You'll probably run more, too - most people who buy
exercise equipment for the home don't end up using it as
much as they think they will.

I agree with David. Quality treadmills cost good money. Buy
a gym membership instead -- then the gym can also take care
of troublesome things like servicing the equipment,
maintenance, equipment upgrades etc. The gym isn't a one-
time cost, but neither is the treadmill. The models you'll
be able to use in a gym are high end models -- a cut above
what you're likely to buy for home.

I got a lifefitness 9500hr treadmill for about $350 at the
government auction site. It's kinda tricky, you need to find
a something in your area and then you have to bid on it, but
I've picked up some really great things for real cheap.

Go to the sales calendar and find an auction near you or do
a search on treadmills.
