I've been looking about for aero clip-ons for (among other things) a couple of 200k rides coming up later in the year & stumbled on Cane Creek Speedbars - I was considering Cinelli spinacis or Profile Jammers. I guess I'd be concerned about reaction time to brakes with hands where the speedbars put them, even compared to over-the-top clipons like spinacis. Anyone out there had any experience of the Speedbars? The manufacturer site is :

I've seen lots of them in uscf races. a lot of riders for a team in asheville, nc (near cane creek) uses them as decribed on the website - in breaks, mostly. they put you in a similar position to being in the drops, but narrower. not what I would think of if looking for comfort on a long ride. much easier to get to the brakes/shifters than aerobars as proven by being uscf legal (aerobars are not.)
