View Full Version : Wiiiiide 700c rims

I'm trying to track down a source of wide 700c rims in the
UK, but currently I'm having very little success.

It's for a unicycle with an IRC Notos 2.1" tyre on unpaved
surfaces, which seems to mean that a wide rim is in order -
but such rims do not appear to be available in the UK.

Currently the top of the "wish list" is the Sun Rhyno Lite,
at 27.5mm outside width, followed by the Alex Adventurer at
24mm outside width. Unfortunately, other than a brief
mention of the Sun rim on the website of a bike shop that
doesn't appear to want to answer emails, I haven't found a
trace of these outside the US.

I've heard mutterings of some Mavic rims, but the Mavic
website and I do not appear to get on well so I haven't been
able to find the dimensions of any such rims.

I don't suppose anyone has come across anything that
might be suitable on their travels? Ideally I'm looking
for a double walled rim with an inside diameter of 22mm
at the minimum.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Phil

MTB 29er rims would be ideal. Where you get them from though
is another thing. Alan.

That's just the sort of thing I'm looking for, I just can't
find any... :/
