Brompton C3 vs L3
View Full Version : Brompton C3 vs L3
I'm sure its in the archives somewhere... But C3 is 375
quid, and the L3 468 quid.
I note that the T's have many extras, but the only
difference I see between the others is the mudguards.
I know the C3 is seen as a false economy - but it is likely
to get rather light usage.

It's the general quality of the componentry that you lose on
with the C.
The L's is just basically better, and the extra cost of
upgrading C
level bits to L is more than the price difference. Given
that the stuff
on the L is hardly professional grade Campy it's not like
you'd be going
over the odds even with light use. The only things you get
extra with
the T are rear rack and dynamo, aside from that it's the
same as the L.

The brakes and tyres are different as well, plus several
other little things. The saddle may well be different as
well, but these are changeable.

If it really does get light usage in dry weather then it
might be worth not spending the extra. However, Bromptons
tend to get a lot of usage if the rider takes to them.
