Despite the spoilers I knew that you guys would post I
stayed away until after the OLN coverage.

You have to pat Hoste on the back and note him well since I
believe we're seeing the start of something from him.

That wasn't a spoiler ... That was a prediction, posted 30
seconds before the finish.

Bruylandts needs to switch to Marlboro Lights.

When did Bruylandts leave the bunch? Was he in the front all
day as well? I read the reports and there's no mention of
him in the break but on Graham Watson they have in the front
at the beginning. Did he bridge with Wesemann or how did he
get across? Thanks,

James Spooner

On the Muur, by following Wesemann.

That peloton reformed for a split second. George missed
the break and it was all over for him. He was looking
pretty good too.

There is a Chocolade J rider pictured in the Watson photo,
but I'm pretty sure it's not Bruylandts. According to the
cnews live report it's Jan van Velzen.

Here's the photo that lead to my question: http://graham- (http://graham-/)
watson.com/gw/imagedocs.nsf/updateframesetcall?openform&-
04fland ers

The coverage was spotty (here in Canada) and I don't recall
Bruylandts bridging. Any insight is helpful...Thanks

Which particular photo?

Coulda been Geert Verheyen - he was riding solo on the
Leberg between the first and second group.

That is just the frameset, I don't know which photo you
mean. Here it's also Bruylandts, but still in the peloton of
favorites: http://grahamwatson.com/gw/imagedocs.nsf/photos/04flanders-
011000 Museeuw, Boonen, Boogerd, Bruylandts, VDB, Wesemann.
They were a few minutes behind G2 there. It all came
gradually closer, until everything melted together just
before the Muur.

I was talking about this pic :

http://grahamwatson.com/gw/imagedocs.nsf/photos/04flanders-
003000

I don't think that's Bruylandts.

Ok, it's the third one down from the start of the series.

Here's the caption 'cause I can't figure out how to
paste the link.

"A huge group of riders has broken away in the first 20-
kilometres, in it are men like Stefano Zanini (leading
here), Antonio Cruz and Dave Bruylandts"

Anyhow, thanks again.

Right click on the pic, "open in new window", then
paste the URL

Jan Van Velzen I think. Bert Hiemstra came across later with
Hoste's group.
