Saturday - big ride, moderate to fast, to snooty elite racers it's filled with scary freds, to freds it's filled with snooty elite racers:

Probably a 45 minute ride from Mission Bay - consult a bike shop for the San Diego bike route map to find the route to the ride, or you can email me and I'll give you directions.
OR: the REAL ride. Axel Merckx, Mike Creed, Danny Pate, and other various pros, national champions, Olympic medalists, and numerous wannabes have been known to attend. It's superfast at points, but there are regroups and shorter/longer options.

You'll probably need to drive up to this ride - might take more than an hour to ride to B&L.
Never done this one, but it's as flat as a pancake out there:

It's right there in Mission Bay.
Also conveniently located is Mt. Soledad, with about 5 good routes up you can easily take in your hill repeats for the week. Just look up from Mission Bay and you'll see Mt. Soledad. Easily accessed via the (hideous) Rose Creek bike path from Mission Bay.
Thanks, I'd dating myself if I told you i used to do those
rides when people like Scott Tinley and John Howard showed
up. I was thinking of checking out the feista island workout
on tuesday morning, I'm a little nervous about the traffic,
where I ride you might not see a car for an hour. On the
other hand, our roads are presently snow covered.

If you see a dorky looking bald dude endlessly blabbering
about masters racing and body fat, say hi for all of us.
