OLN Canada finally shows some cycling related stuff
View Full Version : OLN Canada finally shows some cycling related stuff
According to http://www.tsn.ca/oln/feature.asp?fid=8984 OLN Canada is also
airing the same 13 part series, on Lance and the USPS preparing for the
Tour, that OLN USA is airing (see
http://www.olntv.com/htmlpage.asp?htmlid=233).
I'm shocked. What about the lumberjack shows and re-runs of
Lonely Planet?!
Now if they could also pick up OLN USA's coverage of Paris-
Roubaix, the Giro, the Vuelta, etc. then it might finally be
a half decent channel to watch.

The Road to the Tour series bites so far. But it looks like
Kirsten got a rack job.
The coverage of Flanders was also disappointing. Only one
hour and it was proceeded by another hour of the Criterium
International which had already been shown a few times.
There is no way one can get a feel for the race (a classic)
in 1 hour. They should have bagged the CI repeat and done 2
hours of Flanders. Wasn't it last year or the year before
they had 4 hours of the PR. Not this year.
I know, I know we used to get nothing and Canada gets
even less.

Flanders was just about perfect. P-R would probably benefit
from 2 hours instead of 1 but it gives you long enough to
finish a couple of drafts in the local Sports Bar.
