Hi guys

I found this link and thought it would be a good one for us folk who havent got an SRM or power tap :D It does a rough calculation of you speed at a given power output, click here (http://www.kreuzotter.de/english/espeed.htm) to check it out!

Maybe ric or phill could let us know if the calculations are close to the correct values or not?

cheers!

It gives reasonably good ballpark figures. At a given power it underestimates velocity a little. I tried it using the figures for Boardmans (Superman) Hour Record and the velocity came out at 53 km/hr versus the correct 56+ km/hr. Conversely, at Analytic Cycling, the power estimated at 56km/hr was low by just less than 1%.
