He won a pair of World Cups the last time he won a big
race. It was about this time of year too, and he won the WC
race in England (Leeds Cup?) along with one of the lighter
weight classics (could have even been one of those that he
just won).

He's not exactly a youngster, is he? Isn't he 35 or so?

Bob C.

Robert Chung

If you say so, but I wouldn't've thought you swung in that
direction. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No, I think he's 31 or 32.

He's got an interesting web page - this links to the bio but doesn't list age; does say he turned pro in '92

http://www.rebellin.it/english/biografia.htm

Too much to think he could be top spot at L-B-L?

James P. Spoone

He's 32

I watched a video of the 1991 WC in Stuttgart. Rebellin was
riding with Casagrande in the amateurs and finished 2nd
ahead of Zberg. I can't remember who won (and I haven't
finished watching). Anyhow, a big talent for a long time.

No. It was August '97 and he won San Sebastian and Zurich
back then.
