she is athletic but has never ridden. im fairly serious, so she will probably do neighborhood rides in the 20-30 mile range.

I just bought my wife a Specialized Dolce Sport. She loves it.
She's 5' and has carpal tunnel problems. The Bar Phat works great. The frame size is 44 which around here in Indiana is hard to come by.

How 'bout a good entry level bike for a short male (50 cm max frame)? I'm looking for something in the same range.

i went ahead and got the giant ocr with some upgrades-- better tires, a terry seat, better crank, bars and stem. ended up payin $1k, but its 1.5 lbs lighter. she loves it. i ll stick to my look 381 w. campy record 10 and neuron tubulars....
