I know he does this every year but he's looking especially
crappy this year. I don' think training by himself is going
to cut it this time. I think he race himself into shape. The
embarrassment might do him some good.
both DNF'd. I don't think Ullrich was fooling anyone
today...

Bettini started but stepped out early to save himself for
LBL.

I guess this makes sense if he didn't "feel it" today. No WC
points at stake.
As far as Ullrich is concerned, Last year he showed better
early season form. While it is still early, at what point
should we expect to see some results? Is he planning on
riding the Tour of Switzerland, Classique des Alpes or
Dauphine? (Or is he commited to the Tour of Germany?) If his
form does not improve will it force the team to change
leaders? ie, not hold Vino back when the Tour hits the
mountains?

This is very bad for Ullrich. Cipollini has said that he
tried being leaner, but then he didn't have enough power.
That extra fat does have some purpose, especially when the
temps are low...

I think he'll start training seriously when they take away
his Frequent Buyer card for Gateau To Go.
