Looking at a Genesis Day 03 with Dura Ace et al against a
Giant FCR 0 or Scott Roadster S1. Both look nice bikes and
are similarly priced - just wondered whether anyone had
experience of either? Never ridden a Ridgeback before but
the 03 is allegedly a flying machine.
I use for leisure/fitness only so can't see the point of
drops - flats are more comfortable for me.
I am particularly interested in the comparative weights and
don't want a heavy bike. The Ridgeback is quoted as being
around 20lbs - is that heavy for a bike being branded as a
road bike? The Scott looks nice too but I know naff all
about them and their components on the Roadster S1 look
inferior to the others.
