Procycling's headline claims that Cipollini has been spot-fined 63 euros for speeding. Reading the
story, however, it appears the real reason he was stopped was for being on a road on which pedal
cycles are prohibited. Cipollini and Mario Scirea were apparently being motor-paced by a Domina
Vacanze team car at a cool 70 KPH (around 43 - 44 MPH).
Cipo's excuse: "It's the only place where I can really get up to high speed."
