Justice Souter Is Attacked While Jogging By THE NEW
YORK TIMES
Published: May 2, 2004
WASHINGTON, May 1 - Justice David H. Souter was assaulted
here while jogging Friday night, suffering minor injuries,
the Supreme Court said Saturday.
Kathleen Arberg, the court's public information officer,
said that after the justice was attacked by "several young
men," he contacted Supreme Court police officers, who took
him to Washington Hospital Center. He was examined there and
sent home after several hours.
The attack took place around 9 p.m. Robbery was not
involved, Ms. Arberg said.
Justice Souter, 64, is an avid jogger and hiker who runs
regularly around the track at Fort Leslie J. McNair, an Army
base near his apartment in the Southwest section of
Washington. For security reasons, the court did not identify
the precise location of the attack. Since the base is
secure, it is likely that Justice Souter was attacked
between there and his home.
Justice Souter's attackers, who escaped, did not appear to
be armed, Ms. Arberg said.

Nothing turns a liberal into a conservative quicker than
getting mugged...
FYI: Just another one of Awake's Headlines of Mass Deception.
The article had nothing to do with Bush, enemy
combatants or how Souter would vote on anything. Never
mentioned any of them.

May come as "news" to you but Souter isn't a liberal. He was
appointed to the Court by GWH Bush but has frequently taken
a moderate viewpoint.

Anyone who jogs in southwest or southeast DC is a pure nut
or living in a fantasy world!

Dude time to adjust the tin foil!
Why does this whole thing remind me of the problem Kevin
Spacey just had in London? Souter has been rumoured to be
in the closet. I don't know anything about the park that
he was in when he was jogging. Is it supposed to be a
cruising area?

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all,
it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy,
and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along
whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or
a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice,
the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being
attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism,
and exposing the country to greater danger."

He's just your average *well informed* Bush idiot, spouting
off the usual ignorant crap that makes the republican party
what it is, a bunch of mindless uninformed sheep.

Awake has a tendency to put in subject lines that have
nothing to do with the actual story. I was just warning that
this was another one of them.
