Want to buy my first bike

Hi i'm new to this forum and to the world of bikes. I'm not interested in racing but would like to get a good workout with some comfort. I'll be using the bike to ride to work everyday which will consist of 10 miles each trip and the surface will be smooth to dirt, from flat to extreme hill. I was thinking of going with a hybrid bike. Anyone know if a cannondale Adventure 1000 Mixte is a good bike in general and good for what I plan on using it for. I do plan on doing longer trips with it on the weekends but once again it will be on paved roads or dirt roads. No real off roading. Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this bike, but if you are asking if Cannondale is a good company making high quality products, then the answer is a resounding "yes". Are there any Cannondale owners who want to weigh in here?
