sette apx carbon seat post?

hey all...need a new seatpost, as my thompson setback post just doesn't provide the proper fit. was thinking carbon, and saw this sette carbon post on pricepoint.com. was wondering if anyone knew anything about it, pros/cons. its only 49.95...vs the bontrager carbon at the shop which was 99.00. one vs the other? or should i just stick with a thompson aluminum straight post...my bike is a jamis eclipse steel frame. thanks for the help!

I posted here a while back asking about carbon posts and their durability because I needed a new post too. I ended up buying the Sette APX post because the quality seemed just as good as some of the "name brand" posts and it's half (and sometimes LESS than half) the price.

I've only put maybe 300 miles or so on the post but so far it has been fine. It has a nice clamp on it that's easy to use and it doesn't make any noise. That's all you really need from a seat post! Plus it's a really nice looking post (in my opinion). I'd say go for it!
