now badge as their own.)

I've been very happy with a seat from Beto. Comes with a
decent four-point rack that can be used for panniers when
the seat is removed.

Cost about £50 from SJSC, about 7 or 8 years ago.

Whatever you do don't get one the perches that fits in
front of the rider. After x miles sprog will doze off (and
x can equal 50 metres) and you'll be left holding the baby.
And cycling.

I used a variety of rear seats and my girls were very happy.
I wasn't too selective and just bought what they had in the
LBS. I think they're fairly utilitarian devices, whichever
brand you end up with.

Best of all, as suggested by another poster would be a
trailer. My personal recommendation would be a Burley d'Lite
again bought on the basis of "they had it in stock".

I have one that I was very happy with. Little lad is too big to carry round so I have got a Adams trailer bike. I live in west yorkshire if you're interested in buying 2nd hand - apologies if this forum isn't for sales etc. - If you are interested I will dig out details but basically it is a seat that goes at the back of the rider and has adjustable footrests - all plastic apart from the fixing bars, easy to take on and off if you leave the fittings permanently on the bike. I used it on a giant boulder. I didn't use it too much as Skunk jnr. got bored looking at my back all the time, and just sat there. He loves the trailer bike as he can participate in the pedalling and see a lot more. One of the best things I forked out for.....not that I wanna put u off making a fantastically irresitible offer for my child seat;-)
