I haven't heard of the Phonak racing team. How long has it
been in existence, and what made Hamilton move from CSC? It
looks like a good team.

Then perhaps you could use a hearing aid.

Tyler left CSC to be the sole leader of the Phonak team and
judging by the make-up of the team they spent quite a bit of
money. It's my understanding (though I can't point to any
figure) that Tyler was offered a sizeable increase in pay to
join Phonak. I remember Phonak racing in 2003, but think
they were Div-II then. Thanks to Tyler's '03 results it was
likely any team he appeared on for '04 would get a TdF
invite. So far so good.

Phonak was Div 1 last year and arguably, should have
been given a spot in the TdF (They were a top 20 team at
the time.)

Tyler denies a sizeable increase salary. He claims that
Phonak's commitment to build a team around him and dedicate
the whole season to him winning the tour was the thing. He
compared that to the many team goals that CSC is always
pursuing and how because of that they just couldn't support
him to the same extent.

It was all in his VeloNews diary recently.

Frightfully clever and lost, I'm certain, on most.

Oscar was signed for the express purpose of supporting
Tyler at the TdF. He may get a shot at the Vuelta if Phonak
rides there.

They don't have too hold up against USPS T-Mobile. They just
have to get Tyler his water bottles and chase him back if he
flats. Other than that it is on USPS and T-mobile to do all
the work. Get Jalabert to hold tylers hand as much as he can
through the mountain stages and Phonak's work is done.
