Wow! My best purchase in a long time. My rims are now
looking as good as new.

No bits!

Only thing is -- these things are expensive! Anyone know
what they're made out of?

You probably paid over the odds for it. I would not pay more
than a fiver for them.

£4.08 quid for Garryflex blocks here. I have seen the Mavic
branded versions being sold for over £20.

I had seen the Mavic block and thought it was expensive too
so I'm interested in an alternative.

What grade of these Garryflex would you suggest for
cycle wheels?

Fine

Medium is coarser than the type used by Mavic. Fine might be
slightly finer but it seems similar.

Oh and you may find it cheaper than Chronos if you enter

Sorry I got that wrong.

I looked more carefully. Before Mavic supplied their own
brand they supplied Klingspor "Sandflex Universal Cleaner"
Nr 120. 120 grit is used in Garryflex Medium. Again I am
sorry if I misled anybody.

Oh and when I accidentally pressed send in my previous
message I was suggesting you might find Garryflex blocks
even cheaper if you type Garryflex into your favourite
search engine.

I have never managed to find Klingspor blocks. (Lots of
abrasives but not the blocks).
