View Full Version : carbon frames...

I was wondering if it was possible for a carbon frame (monocoque or frame with carbon tubes and lugs) to go out of alignment.
I know that with alloy or steel frames the frame can bend etc. which can change the alignment although is this possible with carbon.
I suspect that carbon would just snap before it was to go out of shape as it seems virtually impossible to bend anything made from carbon out of shape.
Please help:confused:

Carbon fibre has no yeild point. So it will generally snap if it is flexed too far. Unless the frame is made shonkily it shouldn't be out of wack.
