Hello,
I was hoping one of the doctors in this group
might be able to answer a question for me. My
wife is currently taking Orthotricyclen Lo as a
means of contraception. This is her ninth month
on 'the pill'. This month, she experienced some
spotting in the middle of her cycle. This has
happened once or twice before in the past,
lasted one or two days, and was very light in
nature. Does the occurance of spotting indicate
that 'the pill' at this dosage is not an
effective means of contraception? Would a
higher dosage provide greater protection?
Should we be using a secondary form as well?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
