How are minerals absorbed through the skin?

[MRL]

When a person takes a mineral bath, or goes to a spa,
supposedly the minerals are absorbed through the skin. But
water isn't absorbed through the skin, so how do the
minerals in the water get absorbed? Thanks.

Hmm ..

It seems I recall reading an article about hot springs and
their ability to .. heal.

The REASON given was / is .. carbon dioxide IN the water
causes the pores to expand .. allowing one to absorb MORE of
the minerals ..

So either you are wrong .. or they are ..
