Athlete ID - online bio/results database for athletes

Athlete Id

I'm in the process of developing a new database-driven
website for athletes called Athlete ID
(http://www.athleteid.org/). The site assigns each user a
unique ID code (eg GBR1968M1) and allows them to record full
details of all their competition results to build-up a
complete on-line sporting biography. The entered results
data is used to automatically generate ranking lists for
each event.

A further feature is that it is possible for Athlete ID
members to demonstrate their commitment to drug-free sport
by publishing full details of their in-competition and out-of-
competition drug-tests. Both race and drug-test results
can be ratified by providing a link or uploading a
document scan.

Athlete ID has just come out of the beta-testing stage and I
would be very grateful if members of rec.running could visit
the site and let know what they think. At present, the
Athlete ID results database is restricted to athletics,
powerlifting, swimming and weightlifting, but I hope to be
adding more sports over the next few weeks.

Athletes sure, but what has this got to do with
joggers? They don't need a machine to tell them
they're pitiful............they're all quietly, and
painfully, aware.
