All you over 40 people out there what kind of times are
turned in on the 40K and what kind of equipment do you ride?
Do you have a spicific TT bike or do you just strap an Aero
bar on to your road bike. just curious? There are some real
fast guys in the midwest that are over 40.

It's been a long time since I monitored the times
for the vet's nats. However, for those looking for
an easier time, I remember the decrement in
performance as one gets up the age ladder was very,
very gradual. Seems that raw speed, then climbing
ability seems to go first. But strength against the
clock seems to hold up pretty durned well.

Experienced racers aged 35+ are pleased with times below 60
minutes for a flatish 40K ITT.

Top Cat. 1 age level 35+ times are under 55 minutes and
winners under 53 minutes.
