Post-coronary bypass question

View Full Version : Post-coronary bypass question

Hello, My mother has recently underwent a quadruple coronary
bypass surgery after an angiogram revealed clogged coronary
arteries. On the whole, my mother is doing fine now, but she
is concerned about her left arm. She has no pulse at all in
that arm, and blood can't be drawn from the veins in that
arm; she doesn't feel any numbness or weakness in that arm
though. She is diabetic. Is this lack of activity from the
veins in that arm normal either in general or post surgery?
Or is this a symptom of another problem?

Thanks, Estrella pacjoy AT mailcity.com

No.

It is another problem that your doctors should be informed
about as soon as possible.
