Travel Insurance

My sister wants to take me on a day trip to Paris in August,
travelling by Eurostar. We will only be there for a few
hours. I came out of hospital on Friday after having Angina
and a mini heart attack. I also suffer from type 2 Diabetes,
high cholesterol, blood pressure and arthritis. I know it
sounds awful but I do feel well. Does anyone know where I
can get travel insurance to cover me for one day

Any help will be most appreciated Gill

I was going to get travel insurance for a trip I booked in
April after coming out the hospital at the end of March. The
trip was for the middle of May.

Then I read the fine print, which stated that conditions
existing within the previous 4 months weren't covered.

So I passed, bought the totally non-refundable ticket from
Hotwire, and hoped for the best.

I ended up back in the hospital for another heart condition
and missed the trip. Since it was two separate diagnoses,
though both heart related, I since wonder if the insurance
would have covered it. I'll bet it wouldn't have been worth
the fight to try to collect

Hi Gill, I have a mechanical valve and pacemaker, arthritis
etc and had a hard time trying to find travel insurance for
Spain. In the end Help the Aged (terrible name) issued an
annual policy for me and my husband and it covers the the
two things mentioned above. We went to Majorca in April and
everything was fine but if I did not feel well anytime I
just would not go. You would not have enjoyed it; it would
have been so tiring for you. If you are planning on going
abroad in the future you can use your E111. It will be
accepted at any health service clinic in the EC (they like
to have a copy) and there will be no charge. Diana
