hey hey , im a Sth Aussie , doing my first BayInADay -- this year . Id like to know of a hotel with a ' spa bath' in rooms .. to rest my sleepy legs ... im doing the melbourne - >serento - leg , so any help with hotels and spa baths , would be appreciated .....

Your best bet would be to look at the RACV web site for their accommodation guide..

But you dont have to start there, it doesnt really matter where you start, you'll still do the same distance!
I'd be looking for hotels out of the city to save some cash. ie Sth Melb, Albert Park or Elwood (prob not St Kilda if you want sleep on the Sat night).
