I've been wondering what the "fattie masters" stood for, so
a ride for mostly recreational riders and some invited VIPs
going 28 km/h for 80km behind a master pace car i a "fattie
masters race". Good thing Mario had it in him to win during
the final 20km when the racing was finally allowed.
I wonder how much cash he made on a day like that...

Probably enough to buy another outlandish skinsuit for the
TdF prologue.
It'll be dull when they guy retires.
speaking of him, today in the papers the envious manager
Bulens (Landbouwkrediet) has a story on Domina Vacanze's
Tour invitation. He says Cipollini is good friends with
Berlusconi, and that TV-right matters might have been
playing here. Any Italian can say more on this? How come
this would be an element this season and not before? Even
though I know what Tosi will have to say, I'd still love
to hear it.
cheers Bart

I was under the impression that LeBlanc felt he had wronged
Cipo last year and was making up for it. There was a lot of
complaining from the italian camp, too, about the small
number of italian clubs invited.

There was a short bit in the latest Cyclesport that
Leblanc's other condition was that Scarponi had to skip
the Giro and show for the tour this year. Anyone else
confirm this?
Was wondering where he was at the Giro, he could have done
really well this year.

I just say that this is a nonsense, because the TV who
has the rights and will broadcast the Tour is the public
TV (and even RAITRE, the channel whose managers are near
to the leftwing) and not one of Berlusconi's owned
Mediaset channels.
Please also notice that I am not such a big Berlusconi's
fan. I just defend him until he's allied with Lega Nord.
The day he turns his shoulders to us Padan people (as he
did in '95-'96) he can go to hell with his "terroni"
friends of those stupid UDC (Center Union) and AN (National
Alliance) parties.
