Reading about RAAM, I was wondering about changing rules to
allow switching bikes, like TDF and others.
My vision of unlimited cycle racing in the future would
allow a limited number of bike swaps per stage or event. The
limit would really increase the role of tactics, just like
when a team uses a time out. It would also eliminate the
silliness of switching from an ultralight climber to a
streamliner at the top of every big hill.
Or maybe the magical morph bike, that expands into an
upright or closes into a streamliner like one of those
buckyball structures.
