Disc Problem Revisited

I had posted a question or two about my concern I may have a
disc problem; nerve impingement etc.... Here is how my 1st
visit to a Ortho surg went.

He bent, manuvered and palpated etc....NO Imaging suggested.
He ruled out pyriformis Syndrome based on a mechanical
asscessment. Rules out Trochanteric Bursitis. He prescribed
Prednisone 16 day via wean down. His DX is 'Lumbar
Ridiculopathy. Hmmmm? I suppose some docs are rather
conservative in TX at 1st.

Well; I've been on the Prednisone 6 days with maybe "some"
relief, but the discomfort IS still there.

Because it's not indicated.

Can you think of another way?

Well, that's pretty easy to do.

What would you prefer, that he take you straight to the
operating room?

I'm sure he didn't promise you an instant cure. If you did
*nothing*, your problem would probably correct itself, in
time. With treatment, it will get better a bit faster.
There's no substitution for healing and time. Why do you
think you're called a "patient"? ;-)
