Needles. Syringes. Testing for infectious organisms.
Thank you all for your interest !
Would someone actually send along the name of a laboratory
or names of laboratories that would test needles, syringes
for infectious organisms, a laboratory where a doctor could
have a needle, syringe tested in a case where the test
results make a difference in treating the patient ?...
Just because an organism is dead does not mean you can not
test for dna. That is the thing about dna that makes it
testable days, weeks, years after the fact. DNA is tough,
resistant to deterioration. DNA is a persistent molecule.

Don, since this appears to be an obsessive concern, I will
suggest that you contact one of Usenet's foremost
authorities on such obsessions.
Please contact, Doe@aol.com, tommy hennessey of Alberta,
Canada. Mr. Hennessey is committed to warning the world of
the evils of the element, iron, and it's potential to harm
or kill every living organism. Further, since Mr. Hennessey
claims to have direct connection with high authorities with
broad powers and knowledge bases; he can likely provide you
with a continuing source of extracts and precis that may
just happen to intersect your areas of concern. After all,
needles are made of iron.
Pay particular attention to tommy's thesis and see if you
can get him to explain to you the marvelous manner in which
he came to find answers in Hebrew and Aramaic, languages he
can not read, speak, or write.
I wish you a long and interesting acquaintance with tommy.
However, he is sometimes hard to contact and we all
suspect that he is engaged in secret personal research
involving psychoactive medications and EST. Good luck on
your research.

Nice try, slenon, but it won't work. There's a kind of Troll
pride that stops them ever talking to each other. I think
it's a cultural thing; the one who opens the conversation is
in some way admitting his stupidity to the other, and that's
all too much for the poor dears.
You'd need to arrange it so that they both wrote **at the
same time** that way, they'd be able to communicate without
each knowing the other was stupid.
We'd know, of course. But then, we do already!

Don't see any connection to this discussion.
OK, One last time: Needles are packaged and sterilized
according to a whole host of regulations and standards. The
PROOF that they are sterile comes from live bacterial
cultures in test vials or test strips that are placed in
with the lot of needles. (this is true for steam, gas and
plasma sterilizers. Not sure about irradiation) The live
cultures are then incubated along with an unsterilized
control - growth in the control and no growth in the test
indicated that the sterilization worked. There is no testing
of the needles! -not all organisms that could grow in a
culture of the object could cause disease
- many organisms that cannot be grown in culture could
cause disease.
The proof of sterilization is in the controls.
