Cirucmcision is wrong

Circumcision is non-consensual body modification, i.e.
mutilation.*

If it's okay to mutilate someone against their will or
without their consent, then it must be okay to kill someone
(how about removing their heart?) If you think it's okay for
you to murder people, then you must admit that it's okay for
others to murder you.

A far better philosophy is one of unalienable rights. All
beings have an unalienable right to life and freedom, and
that includes freedom from mutilation. Unalienable rights
are not owed to you by anybody, but they should not be
violated. The philosophy of unalienable rights is a closer
representation of the truth than that of war or murder, and
perhaps as you enter into all truth, you will find your
rights truly unalienable.

If everyone refrains from violating the person and property
of others, the world will remain at peace.

The line must be drawn somewhere, and we hope the state is
not too oppressive in its restrictions. Lest we conclude
there is no guiding light and no philosophy, and that the
state merely imposes itself on others with no regard. In
which case, we must conclude that it is okay for us to do
the same to the state and that the state is as wrong as it
claims us to be. Then we must either choose to suffer evils
while evils are sufferable, or engage the philosophy of
"Give me Liberty, or give me death" and go to war to free
ourselves of oppressive bondage.

The more I read newsgroups, the more I understand the
meaning of the term "invincible ignorance".

In the mid-fourteenth century, the plague hit Europe and
threw it into chaos. Twenty-five million people died. That
was 40% of the population.

Today we know its cause. The plague was carried by flea-
infested rats. However, in the mid-thirteen-hundreds, its
origin was a mystery.

Europe's poor sanitary conditions exacerbated the problem.

Torah observance provides standards which somewhat
protected the Jews from the plague. Jews are required to
wash before eating bread. They must bathe at least once a
week, in honor of the Sabbath. The dead must be buried
within 24 hours and may not be left to decompose. Jews must
keep a certain distance from sewage in order to recite
blessings and study Torah.

The sanitary and hygienic standards of Christian Europeans
at that time were much lower. That is why the plague did not
hit the Jews as hard as the non-Jews. Yet the Jewish people
were not spared. To the contrary. They were blamed for the
plague. Some said it was God's wrath against Christian
Europe for tolerating the non-believers. Others claim that
Jewish prayers poisoned the drinking water.

Because of the plague itself and the increased persecution
of Jews in Western Europe, many of them migrated to Eastern
Europe, where death rates from the plague were only half
what they were in Western Europe.

God gave circumcision to Abraham (peace be on him) as a
sign of obedience to God's will, not as a prophylatic
against disease.

I thought Abdelkarim's an excellent reply.

I believe that observant Jews sincerely believe that a God
commanded the amputation of their infant sons' foreskins in
perpetuity.

Organized medicine literally capitalized on this sincere
belief here in the US - using phony "babies can't feel pain"
neurology to "inform" parents and each other.

Routine infant circumcision became (and still is) American
medicine's most frequent surgical behavior toward males.

Since there weren't then (and still aren't) any medical
indications...

When I exposed the phony neurology in late 1987, I demanded
an end to the obvious mass child abuse by American MDs.

In November 1987, the New England Journal of Medicine (I had
copied them) published an article admitting the phony
"babies can't feel pain" neurology.

When I called one of the authors - Harvard's KJS Anand - he
told me that the New England Journal of Medicine had been
sitting on the article for over a year - "too inflammatory"
they had told him.

Soon thereafter, I also asked Congress to pass a religious
exemption from the child abuse statutes for Jews.

Strange things began to happen...

In the January 1988 issue of Pediatrics, the American
Academy of Pediatrics came out against ALL religious
exemptions.

In the February 1988 issue, AAP came out in favor of
anonymity for perpetrators of child abuse.

In March 1988, the California Medical Association ignored
its own Scientific Board and passed a resolution declaring
newborn circumcision "an effective public health measure."

Ending this mass child abuse by American MDs would stop the
infant screams (and the occasional death or penis
amputation) and preserve the surgery as a choice American
males could make for themelves in adulthood.

Ending routine infant circumcision would also save Americans
an estimated $200 million dollars per year.

The mutilation should have ended over two BILLION dollars'
worth of infant screams ago.

I doubt they will ever end.

American OBs are committing much worse child abuse.

American OBs are knowingly closing birth canals up to 30%.

American OBs are violently pulling on tiny spines (with
oxytocin/Cytotec) and gruesomely pushing (with hands,
forceps, vacuum) - with birth canals senselessly closed

Sometimes they pull so hard they rip spinal nerves out of

Some babies die, some get paralyzed - most "just" get their

ALL spinal manipulation is gruesome with the birth canal

Just as American OBs slice most American penises at around
the time of birth; similarly they slice most American
vaginas...

American OBs are slicing vaginas en masse ("routine
episiotomy") - surgically/fraudulently inferring they are
doing everything possible to OPEN birth canals - even as

Exactly were did you get those figures? In the mid
Fourteenth century the 100 year war raged. to be followed up
by the the cather crusade, the thirty year war. the moors
removal from christian spain, portugal, and parts of italy
and sicily.

Yes and Paris, rome, Rhiems, worms, chinon, London,
Canterbury, glasgow et al all had large cat populations
natural predators and eraticaters of mice yet they all came
down with the black plague? BTW the plague was definetly
more than one desease its origins probably laid in viral,
bacterial, and fungal forms. Most likely it was caused by
returning crusaders from the middle east. And many of the
deaths of the plague had their origins in disentary and
cholera ala the various wars.BTW London had Ferrets the most
efficient hunter this world has ever seen pound for pound
mice and rats were made extinct in many large breton cities
at the time can you explain the plague there? Also in Eqypt
cats were worshipped can you explain why the plague never
hit the Nile?
