View Full Version : OLN on West Coast Complaint
OK, so here's the deal: AFAIK, OLN's Tour de France programming starts each
day at 8:00 or 8:30 AM Eastern with a half-hour pre-race show and then live
coverage. This, of course, is 5 or 5:30 AM Pacific.
Here in San Diego, however, Time Warner show friggin'
INFOMERCIALS until *7:00 AM* local time -- flipping a switch
or something to suddenly carry OLN in the middle of each
day's stage.
I've just written both OLN and Time Warner (separately), but
wanted to share my rantage with you good people.

Here in Palo Alto on Comcast the morning coverage is
repeated in the evening starting at 8 pm. Maybe you can
catch it then?

Oh, yeah, they re-play it throughout the day; but when the
/drama/ starts I want to see it LIVE!!!
(By the way, in years past they also pulled the Sunday OLN
coverage in lieu of that lame CBS highlight hour; they
better not do that THIS year!!!)

Oddly enough, they did all day coverage, yesterday. Maybe
this year, they'll cover Sundays. That would be cool.
Personally, I am not a big fan of the flat, sprinter stages
of the first week or so. But the hills are coming, and
complete Sunday coverage will be good. Looks like it's going
to be a good tour. I am happy that there is not alot of anti-
american stuff going on, my aren't the ( Old Europeans)
forgiving. Ciao, Len

I'm glad I live in Cox cable territory then. They haven't
done this to the tour (at least not so far). Actually, Cox
cable covers most of San Diego county and I think a majority
of the city. I don't miss Time Warner.

You could also call their customer service and yell at them.
Maybe you could get other customers to do the same. If
enough people do, they'll fix it.
