Lance pays back Mayo for Mont Ventoux in the TdF stage 3 cobbles
View Full Version : Lance pays back Mayo for Mont Ventoux in the TdF stage 3 cobbles
Hey,
Just like Jordan used to send messages with points scored
against youngsters. Lance takes out the exact time from
Mayo in the TdF stage 3 cobbles that Mayo showed him up
with at Mont Ventoux.
Thanks, Ronde Champ

The difference being that the difference at Mt Ventoux was
done man vs man, both on the bike.
This time, Mayo was on the ground, and 3 teams went after
him and the EE to win some time. Tough luck for him.

I thought it was also the case of T-Moble paying back EE for
out-sprinting JU to the top of Luz Ardiden last year:

I thought the payback was for stage 15 of last year's tour
where Mayo attacked the instant Armstrong regained contact
with the leaders after his crash.

Naw, it was payback for Mayo running over Lance when he went
down. It's the finer point.

I think he paid him back for that about 5 seconds after
Mayo did it.
