Franken Campy Derailleur
View Full Version : Franken Campy Derailleur
I picked up a weird Campagnolo rear derailleur at a yard
sale today.
It says "Nuovo Record" on the outer parallelogram plate. But
every other part on the unit matches long-cage Rally
derailleur from the mid-70's.
It does not appear to have been modified in any way. It is
in excellent condition with little wear. Is this some kind
of one-off or joke from Vicenza?

Peter: yes, every part on this except the outer
parallelogram seems to be from the Rally triple rear
derailleur:

But it parallelogram says: "Nuovo Record" - as I've seen on
dozens of the 70's and early 80's vintage Campy units.
The dropout attachment is through an Allen head bolt. It is
spring loaded- just like the modern rear derailleurs.
