To see the power and the final speed that that big Norwegian
Thor Hushovd has is pretty remarkable. He came off the front
of the thinning pack on that slight rise and just simply
powered his way to, what became, a relatively easy win.

It's mind expanding the way some of these guys do it.

Final results from CyclingNews.com:

1 Thor Hushovd (Nor) Crédit Agricole 3.54.22 2 Kim Kirchen
(Lux) Fassa Bortolo 3 Erik Zabel (Ger) T-Mobile Team 4
Robbie McEwen (Aus) Lotto-Domo 5 Andreas Klöden (Ger) T-
Mobile Team 6 Tom Boonen (Bel) Quick Step-Davitamon 7
Laurent Brochard (Fra) AG2R Prévoyance 8 Stuart O'Grady
(Aus) Cofidis - Le Crédit Par Téléphone

MCEWEN is back in the GREEN Jersey now.

The head-on shot from the finish didn't show how swiftly he
moved up. Hushovd made that quick look left before the
finish and I was like, "So soon?" The shot from the copter
showed his acceleration. Amazing. Norwegians are cool.

Most of the time they're frozen.

"... a day perfect for a Norwegian who loves the bad
weather reminiscent of his native Norway. 26 year old Thor
Hushovd (Credit Agricole) made it look easy in the final
sprint as he powered to a two bike length win at the end of
a difficult uphill final kilometre. "I like this weather",
said Hushovd after his second Tour stage win. "The rain,
the wind, the cold...it reminds me of home. I was happy all
day." http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2004/tour04/?id=resu-

On a local scale yesterday Matt Svatek was a freight train
for Adam, who sprinted for the win. This was after Mark
McCormack led the chase to pull the break back with two to
go. Hell of an effort by the break, hated to see them
caught, but it set up a great , smart sprint. Matt just
baffles me. That big, fast, and still climbs ok too. Bill C
