Bike Work Stands---Where to clamp

Where should I or where CAN I clamp my aluminum frame (Cannonade R800) bike into my work stand? I have a PC1 (I think) from PARK TOOLS, and the clamp is adjustable.

Is there a real risk of crushing the frame? Anyone admit to anything bad that happened to them?

Clamp onto your seat post rather than the frame.

Always clamp to the seatpost. Never clamp to the frame.
