Hello all..

Out on the market, there is a direct replacement to the standard PR / KPR / HPR
base flashlight bulb -- named EverLED bulb/lamp costing around $40.00.

The reviews so far has been highly favorable - initial claims suggest the bulb
throws out as much or more light than a typical 2w krypton / halogen lamp even
at 100 feet and extending battery run time by about five times...

Has anyone out there have this lamp? I am considering using this bulb / lamp
in my old Cateye HL1500 or in one of my PR lamp base flashlights..

Please post review results, if available, as it pertains to bicycle
application.

Much obliged.

'Throws out' does not imply that it's a useful replacement for
reflector-based lamps. There's a difference between illuminating s.th.
upfront or getting the street ahead illuminated correctly, evenly,
sufficiently.
Maybe this might make for a nice "been seen" light, but at a hefty price...
