I think BC wheeling on a vert would be awesome! ;) Was is Max Dingemans
(sp?) who had the coasting uni? I.e BC with frame? That would be sooo
cool to watch!

I think unicycling has to become more established in the sporting world
before featuring in the X or Olympic games so it doesn't seem like a
novel bit of entertainment between other events.

standard skill competitions. did you see his NAUCC video?
FRIGGIN AMAZING. that guy did seat in front backwards wheel walk, seat
in back wheel walk, and about a billion other impossible tricks. AWESOME
freestyle.

Personally, I'd like to see uni in something on TV just so I'd have new
stuff to watch... there are only so many times I can watch U2 and all
the videos I download before starting to get a wee bit bored ;)

Never kick a unicyclist in the groin... it will only make them grow
stronger...

That was the original idea. Dan Heaton and Adam Rysner talked to a bike
frame builder about how that could be done without having the cranks hit
it when pedaling. The builder said,"why don't you guys just grind on the
pedals?" If you think about it, grinding on the pedals is easier. the
further the balence point is from your feet, the harder it will be to
balence. For example on a giraffe your balence point is a long way from
your feet and your center of balence, while a standard uni is alot
closer leaving more room to lean.

Unicycling is viewed by many as a novelty, a joke, and it will be for a
long time to come. Just remember; when you ride, ride for you, ride for
the rush you get from learning a new trick, ride for the feeling you get
when you conquer terrain rougher then you ever thought possible, ride
and teach others the joy of unicycling. Unicycling is supposed to be fun
remember?. Do not ride to show off to the many who will reinforce the
novelty (gee where's the rest of your bike), do not ride cocky, do not
ride for the many, ride for the few who have a genuine respect for your
dedication.

As previously stated, unicycling will have it's day.

P.S. should we have a nickname for people who don't unicycle?

Many years ago I was in a local unicycle club where we had our own
version of the USA skill levels.

Level 1 was "rider" and meant that you could mount and ride.

Level 0 (the non-riders) we called "pedestrian".
