I bought a Felt F60 in Sydney for $2,099 earlier this year. Can highly
recommend it. Carbon fork and seat stays, mainly 105 gear with Ultegra
rear derailleur.

It's a very nice ride and it goes well in masters racing. I can't find
anything under $2,500 with that value. When I get better at racing I
might buy a better set of wheels but the Xero XR3's on it now are
excellent for training and ok for racing.

Only problem is finding one. They sold the Australian shipment of that
model pretty fast so you might have a wait. If you can find an F50
even better.

Ok. After a lot of humming and harring I found my mate, what I think is,
the deal of the century...

...well a pretty good deal.

But he's not quite convinced so I'd be grateful I you'd let him (and me)
know what you all think of this:

Avanti Corsa Carbino with Columbus Frame Carbon Forks and Seat stay Full
Ultegra (except 105 BB) Mavic Ksyrium Wheels

for.... wait for it...... AU$2,400 (brand new).

I'd take it in a second. I got the same bike last September for $3200
and am very happy. I came from MTB before that purchase, so I don't
have much to compare it to, but it's been great. It's reasonably
light, it all works... what else to say? This one is probably the same
year model as mine, as the 2004 range doesn't have a corsa carbonio,
but if a 2003 model doesn't bother him, I say grab it with both hands
and don't let go.
