View Full Version : Chainrings
is there a standard for chainring bolt patterns
or do each brand have their one pattern
will say a Shimano chainring work on say a Suntour crankarm
I relealize that MTB has 4 bolts and Road bikes have 5
from what I can tell but maybe I'm wrong
my LBS isnt so local , long distance to call too
Shimano and Campagnolo road are 5 bolt, shimano is 130mm bold circle diameter, campagnolo is 135 bolt circle diameter. I think there's a really good reference for this at sheldon brown. I'll go look for the link.
well here are two ok ones.
